Step 1: Turn off the water meter at the front of the property. Turn it in a clockwise direction. It may be resistant to turn, therefore you may require a cloth to increase your grip, otherwise use a wrench

Step 2: Turn on your garden tap to drain the residual water from the pipe

To rectify the burst, the pipe may be repaired or replaced.
